with a panel discussion and open forum addressing *Environmental standards
for exhibition and storage in museums, *which will review how environmental
conditions in museums in the light of sustainability and cost of energy
pressures has resulted in members of the conservation profession holding
differing views on what can safely be implemented. ICOM-CC in conjunction
with IIC has established a working group to investigate the current global
perspective on environmental conditions in museums on a country-by-country
basis, to identify a methodology by which a fresh and relevant review of
these current positions can lead to practical outcomes, and to encourage
dialogue with the broader museum profession. Panel participants includes *Sarah
Staniforth*, President IIC (UK), *Julian Bickersteth*, Vice President IIC
(Australia), *Luiz Souza*, Conservation Scientist and Professor at Federal
University of Minas Gerais (Brazil) and *Vinod Daniel*, CEO IndHeritage
(Australia/India) and ICOM-CC Vice Chair.

Completing the week is the prestigious ICOM-CC Triennial Lecture, given by*
Dr Ian D. MacLeod*, Executive Director, Collections Management and
Conservation, Western Australian Museum (Australia).

The full conference week is underpinned by ICOM-CC's 21 Working Groups
presenting 147 peer-reviewed papers and 90 posters in concurrent sessions.

There is still time to register! So please visit the website (
