Call for Papers for the ICOM-CC-Wood, Furniture and Lacquer session during ICOM-CC14th Triennial Meeting, The Hague, The Netherlands, September 10-16, 2005

The general theme of the meeting is “our cultural past - your future”.
ICOM-CC- Wood, Furniture and Lacquer now covers all areas of wood such as wooden objects, wooden furniture, ethnographic wood (totem, poles etc), colored and painted wood, turned wood, gilded wood, structural wood, archaeological wood, wood technology, wood sciences as well as identification, testing, examination and experimentation methods
Again it covers all areas of lacquer (either on wood or ceramic).
It also covers all related restoration and conservation materials and methods such as cleaning consolidation, coating materials and methods etc.
The session will cover all areas of specialization covered by ICOM-CC- Wood, Furniture and Lacquer and any other suggested subjects in the field of Wood, Furniture and Lacquer to present an overview and to conclude the current state of conservation and restoration research, practice, problems and progress in conservation in this field.
All professionals committed to the world's museums collections’; monuments, historical sites and culture property such as specialists, conservators, scientists, technicians, archeologists, curators, architects, engineers and other professionals can participate
Student and other those whom are interested in the field are welcome to submitted their work and reports.
Presentations will be presented during the session and the full writing papers will be ranked and juried to be published in both the group publication bulletin and website.
If you would like to present a paper, please submit a maximum 1000 word summary description of the proposed paper in English, include the title, names of the author and any co-authors or collaborators (pleas refer to the Author to whom correspondence should be addressed), together with the full contact details for each author: address, telephone and fax numbers, and e-mail address.
Please refer to the presentation facilities that you will need for your presentation.
The papers will be selected based on quality, originality, importance and relevance.
The abstracts will be ranked. Authors whose abstracts have been chosen will then be invited to submit a full paper and will receive the ‘Instructions to Authors’ by May 15, 2005.
