The Denton County Office of History and Culture in Denton, Texas is looking for a Volunteer and Tour Coordinator to join their team! 

The Denton County Office of History and Culture oversees the 1896 Denton County Courthouse-on-the-Square Museum and The Denton County Historical Park. 

The Volunteer and Tour Coordinator presents outreach programs to schools and organizations and coordinates in-house educational programs and tours for the Office of History and Culture.  Works with staff regarding school and other scheduled tours for the Office of History and Culture.

Examples of Duties:
-Schedule and conduct outreach programs with Denton County schools, including research and presentation of education artifacts.

-Schedule, conduct and supervise the tour volunteers (docent) program for group tours for the Office of History and Culture.  

-Coordinates and assists with all tours for adults and school children of the courthouse building, the exterior grounds and the museum.

-Assists Director and Curator of Collections with research of artifacts to be accessioned into collection or in preparation of new exhibits.

-Develop and implement educational programs and workshops for children and adults.

-Assists staff with special events, exhibit open house events, lectures and receptions.
