Museum Assistant – Museum of the Everglades, Everglades City, FL

Museum of the Everglades is one of five free museums in the Collier County Museums system. MoE is the smallest and most remote of the five, but experiences high volume visitation as the area’s “Old Florida” charm, small town hospitality, and proximity to Everglades National Park make it a popular year-round destination. 

The museum building is itself a significant element of local history (on the National Register) and recently added post-Hurricane Irma restoration to its many stories.  

This position assists the Museum Manager in all aspects of daily operations, programs, exhibit development, and more. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious Emerging Museum Professional looking for hands-on, experience in an inspiring, creative environment. 

Full-time with benefits,  $32,760 annually - county government employee.  Must be able to pass background check. Position closes 1/9/2020.
