Funded by the Andrew W, Mellon Foundation and administered by the Council on Library and Information Resources (CLIR)    

Application Deadline: January 31, 2020 - Cycle 7 is now open!  
Awards range from: $10,000 to $50,000  

ELIGIBLE COLLECTIONS: magnetic audio and video tape, grooved discs, wax cylinders, and wire recordings. ELIGIBLE PROJECTS: Preservation reformatting by qualified service providers for fragile and/or obsolete time-based media content.

NHPRC ACCESS TO HISTORICAL RECORDS GRANTS: Major Initiatives, funded by the National Historical Publications and Records Commission  

Preliminary Application Deadline: January 16,2020,   Full Proposal Deadline: July 9, 2020  

Award amounts range from: $100,000 to $350,000 for 1 - 3 year projects.  

ELIGIBLE COLLECTIONS materials include: documents, photographs, born-digital records, and analog audio and moving image. ELIGIBLE GRANT ACTIVITIES include: digitization of historical records to make them freely available online and creating access to born-digital records.
